For the third time, the Alps Hockey League has named its Young Star of the Month. In the end, the vote – consisting of fan voting and a vote by the league organization – went in favor of Mai Crnkic of Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel. The 20-year-old center is thus the third player to qualify for the season vote, which will take place during the playoffs. Eligible are all players born in 2005 or later. Read more
The Red Bull Hockey Juniors claimed a 4:3 win in the top clash against Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel to move back to the top of the standings. Hockey Unterland Cavaliers and HC Meran/o caused surprises with victories over Cortina and Ritten respectively. In addition, the Broncos, Zell and Asiago also celebrated wins, with the latter prevailing in overtime. Read more
Monday already brings the third full round of the new year in the win2day ICE Hockey League. One of the highlights is the direct battle for third place, as HCB Südtirol Alperia hosts EC Red Bull Salzburg, featuring two of the league’s hottest teams. At the same time, EC-KAC and the Moser Medical Graz99ers continue their long-distance duel for the top of the standings: While the Klagenfurters welcome HC Falkensteiner Pustertal, the Styrians are on the road against Hydro Fehérvár AV19.

The fight for the Pre-Playoff spots also promises plenty of tension. The Vienna Capitals face EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV in a direct matchup, while the third West Derby of the season between Pioneers Vorarlberg and HC TIWAG Innsbruck – Die Haie is also on the schedule. EC Red Bull Salzburg forward Thomas Raffl is on the brink of a remarkable milestone. The 39-year-old figurehead of the win2day ICE Hockey League will play his 1,000th league game on Monday in Bolzano.
