The final matchup of the win2day ICE Hockey League is set: HC Falkensteiner Pustertal secured a dramatic 2–1 overtime victory on Tuesday, with Rok Tičar scoring the game-winning goal 66 seconds into overtime.

In the best-of-seven finals series, the South Tyroleans will now face the Moser Medical Graz99ers. Game 1 is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, at Merkur Eisstadion. An earlier start to the finals series this coming Sunday is not possible due to regulatory requirements. Potential scheduling conflicts with Austrian Bundesliga football matches in Graz would have affected up to four possible home games for the 99ers. As a result of the fixed football schedule, the 99ers are confronted with unavoidable arena unavailability. Read more

HC Falkensteiner Pustertal goaltender Eddie Pasquale went a total of 279 minutes and 17 seconds without allowing a goal – a new league record. The previous mark was held by Mikko Strömberg (HCI), who recorded 250 minutes and 18 seconds in 2007, followed by Atte Tolvanen (RBS) with 224 minutes and 42 seconds in 2022. Read more
The Moser Medical Graz99ers remain unbeaten in the 2026 playoffs and have reached the final for the first time in their league history. After sweeping Villach, they also came through the semifinal series against Hydro Fehérvár AV19 without a loss. In the fourth semifinal game, the regular season winner secured a convincing 5–1 away victory. The second semifinal series of the win2day ICE Hockey League, however, continues: Olimpija Ljubljana won a dramatic Game 4 against HC Falkensteiner Pustertal 5–4 in overtime, cutting the series deficit to 1–3. The Slovenians equalized at 4–4 just 64 seconds before the end of the third period. This also ended the remarkable shutout streak of HCP goaltender Eddie Pasquale. After 279 minutes without conceding a goal, he was finally beaten again — not only a playoff record, but also the longest shutout streak in league history.
