Eddie Pasquale of HC Falkensteiner Pustertal has now gone an impressive 268 minutes and 9 seconds without conceding a goal. In all three semifinal games against Olimpija Ljubljana, the Canadian recorded a shutout. In the fourth game of the quarterfinal series against Salzburg, he allowed just one goal in the 18th minute. With that, Pasquale currently holds the longest shutout streak in playoff history by a wide margin. The semifinals of the win2day ICE Hockey League have been set since Wednesday – and one thing is clear: there are plenty of firsts! Tommy Purdeller of HC Falkensteiner Pustertal has been named Young Star of the Season for the second consecutive year. The 21-year-old forward is thus the first player in league history to receive this award twice. In the final vote among all monthly winners, the South Tyrolean clearly prevailed with nearly the maximum number of points, finishing ahead of David Waschnig (EC-KAC) and Paul Sintschnig (EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV). The voting for the Young Star of the Season 2025/26 is now open. Fans can vote for the season winner until Sunday, March 22 at 23:59. The six monthly winners are up for selection.
