Three games were played on Sunday in the European Women’s Hockey League. In the top clash, the EVB Eagles South Tyrol celebrated a 3–2 shootout home win against HK PSRZ Bratislava after trailing 0–2. With the victory, the South Tyroleans moved ahead of the Slovak side in the standings and now sit in third place, one point clear of Bratislava. The Sabres St. Pölten celebrated a convincing 4–0 win in Bolzano on Saturday, further extending their lead at the top of the European Women’s Hockey League standings. While Bratislava triumphed in Salzburg, both Budapest teams claimed home wins against their Styrian opponents. Read more
The Sabres St. Pölten continued their strong run in the Placement Round of the win2day Austrian Women’s Hockey League, claiming their third straight win to extend their lead at the top of the standings. The Lower Austrian side cruised to a clear 5–1 home victory over the VSV Lady Hawks on Sunday. In the Qualification Round, the Lakers Kärnten gained perfect revenge against the DEC Salzburg Eagles.
