  • Sky Sport Austria broadcasts the anniversary game of the VSV live from 19:00.
  • VSV completed its first game on Sunday after a 23-day compulsory break. The Carinthians lost agaisnt the Moser Medical Graz99ers with 4:2. It was the sixth defeat for the bottom of the league table in the seventh game of the season, the fourth defeat in a row.
  • The Dornbirn Bulldogs are currently on a Carinthia road trip. Within 24 hours the DEC will play two games. Already on Monday evening the Vorarlberger side will meet the EC-KAC. For the Bulldogs these are the first two games after a 23-day break. In the six matches of the season so far, the tenth of the league table has achieved two victories (as of Monday afternoon).
  • The VSV and the DEC have met 20 times in the „Villach Stadthalle“ so far. 15 times the hosts prevailed, five times Dornbirn succeeded. This season, there has not yet been a duel between the table neighbours.
  • Both teams have their problems in the Special Teams so far. Dornbirn was the only team not yet able to score a goal in the Powerplay. The Vorarlberger side have had 23 Powerplay situations so far (as of Monday afternoon). For the VSV the weak point is the penalty killing (72% - 10th place).
  • Not in the squad at Villach are Raphael Wolf and Scott Kosmachuk, who are still in poor health, and the injured Benjamin Lanzinger. Questionable is, due to an injury, also the appearance of Sebastian Zauner.
