However, with KHL Sisak for the first time a club from Croatia applied to join the multinational league. The Board of Governors will decide in the coming weeks whether the Croatians will be admitted to the Alps Hockey League.

AHL Managing Director Christian Feichtinger: "The numerous registrations underline that the Alps Hockey League is a stable and attractive league in European hockey. Of course, it is a big loss that two teams that have been part of the league since its beginning, Lustenau and Klagenfurt, are not part in the coming season. However, the commitment of the other clubs and the positive developments in terms of spectator numbers underline that the AHL continues to be an important and interesting league in the core countries Austria, Italy and Slovenia. In consultation with the Board of Governors, we will now start with the detailed planning for the ninth season."
