99ers back at the top of the table

Thanks to HC TWK Innsbruck's comeback win in Bolzano, Moser Medical Graz99ers took over at the top of the table again. While EC-KAC earned the season's first derby win, spusu Vienna Capitals found back to winning ways. With another big win HC Orli Znojmo is the only unbeaten team in November.

In Sunday's first game Moser Medical Graz99ers earned a 3:2 shootout win against EC Red Bull Salzburg in front of their home crowd. The hosts entered the third with a 2:1 lead but Raymond sent it into overtime. After a goalless extra session, Daniel Oberkofler became the hero. After scoring one in regulation, the 99ers forward scored twice in the shootout and the Styrians took over at the top of the table again.

With a great comeback win HC TWK Innsbruck overthrew HC Bolzano from the top of the table. After trailing 0:4 the sharks earned a 8:5 road win - for the first time in the league's history a team gained a plus 3 win after being 0:4 down. The visitors scored four unanswered goals in the third to get the derby win and moved up to the upper half of the standings. It also was the season's game with most goals scored in regulation.

With Bolzano suffering a defeat, Orli Znojmo is the only unbeaten team in November. The Czechs had an early 2:0 lead against Linz with Ryan Kujawinski scoring the second in his EBEL debut. Yesterday the 23 year-old Canadian, who came overseas for the first time, signed a contract with the Eagles. Early in the second the new arrival even added another goal for a 3:0 lead, Linz only got the consolation goal.

For the fifth succesive time the first goal scored was not enough in a game between Vienna and Dornbirn. Despite the Bulldogs taking a 2:0 and 3:2 lead, Vienna had cause to celebrate in the end. With scoring four goals in one game for the first time in his pro career, Peter Schneider became the game's hero and the Caps got back on track.

Klagenfurt took revenge on Villach for the defeat in this season's first derby. The blue shirts took too many penalties and the host took advantage with scoring three powerplay goals. Adam Comrie struck twice with a man advantage. With Villach pulling their goalie in a final push, KAC top scorer Nick Petersen rounded off the scoring with an empty net goal for a 5:2 win.
