Right after killing an early penalty Oliver Setzinger had a great breakaway chance but Caps goalie JP Lamoureux made the save. Despite the hosts having the better of the play, Graz scored first when captain Setzinger converted a solo attempt during power play. Late in theopening period Dominik Grafenthin even doubled the lead. In the middle frame Graz came close to score a third but this time the Caps scored when Peter Schneider got them on the scoreboard with a rebound. However, the visitors used a Lamoureux mistake to double the lead again by Dwight King. Early in the final period Riley Holzapfel pulled one back but Ty Loney made it 4:2 soon later. Curtis Hamilton added a fifth in front of 6.050 spectators for the preliminary decision, Vienna's Taylor Vause just rounded off the scoring. Thanks to the 5:3 road win the 99ers took over at the top of the table.

Fehervar AV19 defended the poleposition in the battle for the top-6. The devils won against the acting champ with 5:1. Janos Hari succeeded with a double strike. Ha also opened the scoring and brought his team on the road of success. Fehervar controlled the game and created many chances. Bozano started to put a lot of pressure in the final period but didn’t succeed to turn the game. Fehervar still has two points advantage to the sevenths placed Back Wings.

The EC-KAC succeeded with a 3:2 shootout success at Innsbruck and secured the third place in the standings. The HC TWK Innsbruck equalized the game two times. The KAC hat the better chances, but Innsbruck fought back with a lot of effort. After an overtime with no goals Mitch Wahl scored the deciding penalty.

The HC Orli Znojmo celebrated 5:2 success over the EC Red Bull Salzburg. Thomas Raffl had the quick opening for Salzburg. But Znojmo managed to tie the game still in the first period. Znojmo also started with an one goal advantage in the final period, where the Czechs scored two more for the 5:2. Allan McPherson scored twice.

The EC Panaceo VSV booked an 3:2 overtime-success against the Dornbirn Bulldogs. Both team scored one goal each in the first and in the third period. The former Innsbruck player Brandon Alderson scored the decisive goal in powerplay in overtime.

The EHC LIWEST Black Wings Linz celebrated a 9:2 success over KHL Medvescak Zagreb. Despite of fulfilling the statuary duties, Linz is still trailing by two points to the sixths place and there is only one road to go. The Black Wings had full control over the game and scored all nine goals in the first 40 minutes. Zagreb was able to score two goals in their second to last game.
