While the VEU-cracks will play their season-opener, the Wälder have already played one Alps Hockey League-game against EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel 2018/19, earing a 4:3-home-win after Shoot Out. In three straight clashes between the two local rivals, the home-club has left the ice as the winner. The ECB has earned their last victory in Feldkirch on March 19th 2016 or 912 days ago.

Each team has been defeated in the first round on Saturday. The Tyroleans have been successful in three straight meetings with the Furies.

The Red Bull Hockey Juniors will welcome HC Pustertal Wolves on Thursday. The two teams have shown different faces on the first Alps Hockey League weekend: While the Mozart Citizens have failed to score in their home-game against Champion Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 and have been defeated in the end 0:3, Bruneck has been successful in their season-opener against HK SZ Olimpija at home 4:1. The Italians have netted all goals playing even strength. But, watch out: The Mozart Citens have won both home-games against the club from Bruneck so far. Even all four meetings have been won by the club having home-advantage.

With Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan and HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice will meet each other two clubs having won their season-opener! Each team was on fire as well and has allowed only one goal against in round 1: The Italians were successful in Gherdeina (4:1), while the „Red Steelers“ beat Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro (7:1). Both clubs want to continue like that in Sterzing on Thursday. The club having home advantage has been successful in three consecutive meetings.

Vice-Champion Rittner Buam and EC-KAC II will be in a fight for their first win in the Alps Hockey League 2018/19. Each team stayed without points in the first round and allowed many goals as well: The Italians allowed seven goals, Klagenfurt even most goals (8). The Rittner Buam have won all four meetings with EC-KAC II so far.

With Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro and HC Fassa Falcons two Italians clubs with face each other on Thursday. Both Italians have been defeated in the first round and had problems to score as well. Cortina and Fassa netted only one goal so far. The club having home-advantage has earned the win in three straight clashes.
Fri, 21.09.2018, 20:30: Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 – EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau
Referees: LENDL, WIDMANN, Bedana, Mantovani.
Champion Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 and EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau were convincing so far. While the Italians have allowed no goal in the first round, the Lions were on fire and netted seven goals. Now, the two successful teams will meet each other in round 2 in Asiago on Friday (20:30). The Austrians will travel with good memories to Italy. The Vorarlberger have won two consecutive meetings with the „Yellow-Reds“.
