The Alps Hockey League continues Thursday and Friday with one game each. On Thursday, Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey aims the second win in a row, travelling to HC Gherdeina valgardena.it, while Friday night the Red Bull Hockey Juniors try to maintain their home-winning-streak, facing EHC Lustenau.

Due to medical precautionary measures regarding covid-19, all games scheduled until November, 1st with the participation of HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice have been postponed indefinitely. The games against Feldkirch and Kitzbühel will not take place as scheduled. The new game dates will be announced on a later date.

Another weekend in the Alps Hockey League opens Thursday night with HC Gherdeina valgardena.it facing Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey. They play each other for the first time this season, after both duels in the return-to-play phase had been cancelled due to covid-19 cases. In the first phase of the season Gherdeina remained unbeaten, winning alle three games. Past gameday the “furie” suffered its first deafeat, losing to Champion Ljubljana. With Brad McGowan and Mat Wilkins posting eleven each the South Tyrolean have two players ranked top-10 in the scoring charts. Asiago started the season past Saturday after all their return-to-play games were postponed – and the former Champion gained a 3:1 home-win in the opener against HC Pustertal. Goalie Gianluca Vallini impressed with a save percentage of 96,7.

In Friday’s lone game, an Austrian clash takes place, as the Red Bull Hockey Juniors host the EHC Lustenau. The Salzburg side is still unbeaten in home-games, won all four meetings with an overall goal difference of plus 15. In the past two games on home-ice – against Ritten and Bregenzerwald – the “juniors” scored eight goals on average. Further, the Salzburg side had 19 different scorers in the running season. The guests head into their first game of the second phase. In the return-to-play stage the Vorarlberg side won four out of six, but they struggled on the road lately, scoring online one goal in the past two road-games.
