To mark its 10th anniversary, the AHL is presenting itself with a revamped brand identity. The modernized logo picks up on the original idea behind the league and emphasizes its connection to the Alpine region. The new logo will be used on all official AHL channels with immediate effect.

“We wanted to make a visible statement on our tenth anniversary,” explains AHL Board of Governors Chairman Nicolas Stockhammer, who took over the position from Marcello Cobelli on July 1 in accordance with the procedure agreed upon between the associations. “The new logo combines the league's geographical identity with a contemporary design and reflects the multinational character of the Alps Hockey League,” Stockhammer continues. In addition to a new chairman, the Alps Hockey League also has a new commissioner in Michael Suttnig.

Anniversary season begins on September 20
In the nine AHL seasons to date – one of which could not be completed due to the coronavirus pandemic – five different teams have been crowned champions. The title has gone to Italy four times, Slovenia three times, and most recently, Zell am See became the first Austrian team to win the championship.

Saturday, September 20, marks the start of the anniversary season of the multinational league. As in the previous year, 13 teams from Austria, Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia will compete. Asiago, a location steeped in tradition, returns to the field of participants.

Format remains unchanged
The format remains unchanged from last season. First, all teams will play 36 games in the regular season, with each team facing every other team three times. This will be followed by a division into a Master Round and two Qualification Round groups. The playoffs will kick off on March 3, 2026, with the pre-playoffs, and the tenth AHL champion will be determined by April 25, 2026, at the latest.
