Andrew MacWilliam is returning to the win2day ICE Hockey League. The 35-year-old defenseman will immediately strengthen Olimpija Ljubljana, currently second in the standings. After his time in Salzburg, MacWilliam returned to Munich, where he had already played between 2020 and 2022. He did not have a club for the current season so far. In the previous season, the left-handed shooter served as Alternate Captain for the Cardiff Devils.

Anže Ulčar, CEO of Olimpija Ljubljana: "We wanted to strengthen and stabilize our defense. Despite the victories and our high position after one third of the season, we felt we were conceding too many goals. At the same time, we wanted a player who acts physically and decisively in the defensive zone and in front of the net – and Andrew is exactly that type of player. He also knows Head Coach Ben Cooper’s style of play and will have no trouble adapting in this regard."
