After playing junior hockey in Canada, Anthony Morrone moved to Europe for the first time in 2020 and had one season with EHC Lustenau in the Alps Hockey League. The Vorarlberg team was only eliminated in the semifinals against the eventual champions and new team Ljubljana - the Canadian impressed with a .926 save percentage and also won the Austrian AHL championship title with the "Lions". Afterwards, the 23-year-old moved to the highest French league to Mulhouse. "I am really looking forward to the new challenge in Ljubljana. I have only heard positive things about the city, the club and the fans," said the newcomer.

Mantinger stays in Bruneck
HC Pustertal has extended the contract of Matthias Mantinger. After reliable goal-scoring figures with Sterzing in the Alps Hockey League and several national team appearances, HCP relied on Mantinger in his ICE premiere season - and was rewarded: 14 scorer points, refreshing hockey and always full commitment - that's what the left-shooter showed the fans. Most recently, he was also on duty with the Italian national team at the World Championship. "The ice hockey enthusiasm is palpable throughout the valley and it was a goosebump moment every time to skate in front of the full Rienzkurve. I'm really looking forward to another season in Bruneck," reports Mantinger.
