Asiago and Cortina keep leading players

With the contract extensions of Federico Benetti, Matteo Tessari and Enrico Miglioranzi, the captain and his two assistants will remain with Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey. Hafro Cortina was able to retain top scorer Remy Giftopoulos and with the signing of Mike Cazzola the club added another Canadian forward. Soel Costantin also extended his contract with the Fassa Falcons.

34-year-old Federico Benetti is entering his 17th season with Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey. So far he has played 714 competitive games for his home club, where he has been captain since 2015. Matteo Tessari (31) will complete his 15th season with Asiago, while 28-year-old Enrico Miglioranzi has already defended twelve seasons for the red-yellow side. In the Alps Hockey League, the trio have been responsible for 186 points so far. With the AHL, Serie A, Continental Cup and the Italian Super Cup Asiago takes part in four competitions.

Two Canadian forwards for Cortina
Hafro Cortina announced the first roster decisions. The Italians will continue to rely on the services of Remy Giftopoulos in the coming season. The 27-year-old was the fifth best scorer in the league last season with 34 goals. With Mike Cazzola, another Canadian will hit the ice for the club. The 29-year-old comes from Scottish side Fife Flyers, for whom he scored 36 points in the Elite Ice Hockey League last season.

Soel Costantin stays with Fassa
Defender Soel Costantin extended at the Fassa Falcons. The 26-year-old defender enters his eighth season with the club.
