In front of nearly 3,000 fans, Asiago convincingly defeated league leaders Sisak 5–1 on Sunday. Ritten won their top-5 duel against Kitzbühel, while Zell am See returned to the winning track and Sterzing ended Cortina’s streak. Gardena and Merano also celebrated home victories.
HC Migross Asiago – KHL Sisak 5:1 (1:0, 3:1, 1:0)
In front of 2,900 spectators, Asiago stayed within reach of the Top 5 with a convincing home win over the table leaders. Garau opened the scoring early, but Sisak equalized in the middle frame. The hosts immediately responded with three goals to take a 4–1 lead into the second intermission. Garau sealed the deal with his second goal in the 51st minute — marking Asiago’s second straight win over a Top-5 team.
HDD Jesenice – EK Die Zeller Eisbären 2:3 (1:0, 0:2, 1:1)
In a balanced and hard-fought encounter, the reigning champions impressed with solid defense and clinical finishing. After Zajc put the home team ahead (16’), Zauner equalized in the second on the power play, and Rupnik soon gave Zell the lead. In the final period, the visitors held firm and extended their advantage through Stiegler with minutes remaining. Jesenice pulled one back, but the Zeller victory was never in real danger.
Rittner Buam SkyAlps – Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel 4:2 (2:1, 1:0, 1:1)
In an intense opening period, Ritten struck first with a power-play goal by Kostner. Kitzbühel leveled the score briefly, but the hosts went into the first intermission 2–1 ahead. Fink made it 3–1 midway through the game, before Loshing’s second goal brought the visitors back into contention. In the final seconds, Fink found the empty net to secure the 4–2 win, bringing Ritten level on points with the still fourth-placed Tirolers.
HC Gherdeina valgardena.it – EC Bregenzerwald 6:4 (3:1, 1:1, 2:2)
Cheered on by over 1,400 fans, Gardena got off to a flying start, leading 3–0 after just 16 minutes. Bregenzerwald reduced the deficit before the first break and closed in further during the middle period. The final frame turned into an open battle: Guimond restored the three-goal cushion before Toivo Laaksonen scored twice to make things tense again. Moncada’s empty-netter finally sealed the home team’s win.
Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan – S.G. Cortina Hafro 5:2 (0:1, 5:0, 0:1)
Sterzing impressively ended Cortina’s six-game winning streak. After conceding early on a power-play goal by Massimo Pietroniro, the Broncos exploded in the second period with five unanswered goals — including a double strike from Sproviero. In the end, they celebrated a strong 5–2 home win, leapfrogging Cortina in the standings to move up to eighth place.
HC Meran/o Pircher – Hockey Unterland Cavaliers 6:1 (1:0, 2:1, 3:0)
Meran recorded their biggest win of the season. Stefanson gave the home side the lead against the bottom side, and the Eagles extended it to 3–1 in the middle frame. The hosts dominated the final period, with six different players getting on the scoresheet in total. The game ended in a clear 6–1 home victory.
