The two teams had already met once this season. After Asiago’s 8:3 victory in Italy, the league leaders were even more convincing in Klagenfurt, winning 8:2. While Asiago celebrated their sixth win in seven games, the Future Team suffered their fourth defeat in their fifth game of the season. With three points, the Klagenfurt side sits 13th in the standings.

The hosts initially kept pace with the league leaders, but Asiago took the lead in the 21st minute. From there, the game turned into a scoring festival. After 40 minutes, the visitors led 4:2 before adding four more goals in the final ten minutes. Ryan Valentini was the only player to score twice, while last season’s MVP also contributed two assists.
