Game five of the final series between Asiago and Jesenice was a thriller again. In front of 1680 spectators, the home side from Italy had more scoring chances in the first period, but no goals were scored. It took until the 29th minute before Enrico Miglioranzi scored the lead for Asiago through a fantastic individual action. But the answer of Jesenice followed promptly. Only 40 seconds after the 0:1 Gasper Glavic equalized to 1:1. As a result, both teams still had great chances to score in the middle period. However, it went into the final period with the score of 1:1.

Also in this both teams were several times before the lead. But both Asiago backup goaltender Luca Stevan and Jesenice goalie Oscar Fröberg were always on the spot. Stevan had a save percentage of 95.7% in the end. It was the first shutout of the 24-year-old for the Italians. Just when everyone was expecting the first overtime in a final decider, another goal was scored. Giordano Finoro took heart and overcame the Swede in the visitors' goal. The 23-year-old center only joined the Italian champions of the past three years in January.

In the Alps Hockey League it was the second title win for Asiago after 2018. They also secured the title against Ritten only in the decider. For Jesenice it was the first participation in the finals.
