Asiago replaces Pustertal on top position

Asiago wins top game
Migross Supermercati Asiago won the top game against S.g. Cortina Hafro in overtime. Asiago captured the 2:1 lead in the first period. After powerplay goals Cortina was able to overcome Asiago. But Asiago came back one more time and even recaptured the lead. Cortina fought back in overtime Marco Rosa scored the game winning goal for Asiago.

Gherdeina overthrow Pusteral
The former leader HC Pustertal had to empty the place on the top after losing against HC Gherdeina. Pustertal captured the lead in the first period. After that Gherdeina shifted one gear up and captured the 3:1 lead till the 46th minute. Pustertal was able to narrow the gap but couldn’t fight back to reach the overtime.

Broncos and Ritten celebrate wins
The WSV Sterzing Broncos are back on the winning streak after three consecutive losses. The EC Kitzbühel had a good start into the game creating the 2:0, but then the Broncos took control and booked the 5:4 win.
The Rittner Buam celebrated a 4:2 success against the EC-KAC2. The Carinthians had the successful start into the game creating the 1:0 lead. But the Buam took control quickly and created a 4:1 lead till the third. The game ended with the result of 4:2.

Zeller Eisbären win Austrian-Derby
In the only Austrian Derby of the day the Eisbären celebrated a 3:1 win against the Steel Wings Linz. Afer an opening period with no goals the Eisbären found their rhythm in the second where the scored three goals. The EIsbären booked the 3:1 win at the end am captured the eights place. The Eisbären are the best ranked Austrian team.

Slovenian Teams celebrate wins
The HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana booked a 4:0 win against the HC Fassa Falcons. Jesenice needed more effort, as they already trailed by 1:4. After that the Slovenians started the race to catch up and fought in overtime. Tomazevic brought the decision in overtime.
