Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey shortened its deficit in standings, while celebrating a tight 6:4 road win against bottom-placed EC-KAC II. The reigning champion, who played 16 games so far, moved to 5th place in standings and is now only two points behind the second. The Carinthians suffered their 17th consecutive defeat. The hosts got off a perfect start with a goal of Michael Kernberger seconds before the end of KAC’s first power play. Then champion Asiago turned the game with three straight goals. After Markus Pirmann pulled one back on power play in the 33rd minute, Marco Rosa restored the two-goal lead about two minutes later. Almost three minutes to go in the second the EC-KAC II used a double power play to halve the score again and Dennis Sticha tied it a four. Chad Pietroniro grabbed the lead for Asiago not even a minute later. Both teams had good chances in the last, but Frederic Cloutier and Florian Vorauer kept their sheet clean. After the hosts pulled their goalkeeper, Mark Naclerio rounded off the score.

After parting ways with head coach Gaber Glavic early this week, Ales Burnik took over HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice and celebrated a home win on his debut. A 4:1 victory against EK “Die Zeller” Eisbären let the Slovenian side shorten its deficit to a place in the top-4. The polar bears suffered their first loss after three consecutive road wins. The hosts opened the scoring after seven minutes with a shorthander of Aljosa Crnovic, who made his second goal this season. The game was on eye-level till Jesenice doubled up when Blaz Tomazevic scored in the 15th minute. But the guests responded quickly, and Daniel Nageler halved the deficit almost two minutes later. After a non-goal second period in which both teams took care on the defensive end, the hosts added two more in the last. Eric Pance got his colours on winning way with the 3:1 almost at halfway point of this frame. Tadej Cimzar rounded off the score with an empty netter.

The EC Bregenzerwald secured its second road win this season, after winning 3:1 at EC “Die Adler” Stadtwerke Kitzbühel. The game was tied at one after the first period, when Tuomas Kinnuen answered the first goal of Bregenzerwald by Daniel Ban. Kitzbühel took two early penalties in the second. Christian Ban benefited on a power play and gave Bregenzerwald back the lead. Further, both teams act on eye-level. After the hosts pulled their goalkeeper, Christian Ban made the empty netter with his second goal of the night.
