After a goalless second period, the home team turned it around after the restart with three goals within 44 seconds. Patrick Kittinger (45') tied it, Victor Östling put Salzburg ahead on a deflection and then Tobias Eder added a third from the slot. Just a few seconds later Samuel Soramies added another shorthanded marker for a 5:1 final score. On Sunday the Red Bulls face Sterzing on the road.
EK Zeller Eisbären - EC 'Die Adler' Stadtwerke Kitzbühel 6:3 (3:2, 2:1, 1:0)
Kitzbühel got off a better start with Peter Lenes opening the scoring halfway through the first on a double pp. Two minutes later Edgar Protcenko doubled the lead but Zell am See struck back. In the closing minutes of the first period the hosts even turned it around. Martin Oraze on power play, Alexander Feichtner with his first goal for the polar bears and Franz Wilfan scored for a 3:2 Zell am See lead within 133 seconds. The hosts also were the dominant side in the second but Kitzbühel scored first when David Lidström lit the lamp - 3:3. However, Oraze restored Zell am See's lead with his second of the night and tehn Jan Kolar extended it before the second intermission. Captain Wilfan made the game safe with the third period's lone goal for a 6:3 home win to keep the home team's playoff chances alive.
EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau - Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 5:2 (2:1, 2:0, 1:1)

In the 14th minute Ulmer tied it and later in the period the hosts showed their pp qualities when Jürgen Tschernutter netted off a great combination with Stefan Hrdina and Max Wilfan. Lustenau had the better of the play in the second, too. Daniel Stefan doubled the lead with an early goal from sharp angle and new arrival Eetu-Ville Arkiomaa put the lions even 4:1 up. Lustenau kept the game in hand in the third. In the final minute Anthony Nigro reduced the deficit with a power play goal but with Asiago pulling their goalie, Ulmer scored an empty netter for a 5:2 final result.
FBI VEU Feldkirch - HC Gherdeina valgardena.it 3:2 OT (1:0, 0:1, 1:1, 1:0)
Without Radek Deyl, who will miss the rest of the season due to a shoulder injuty, Gherdeina took on Feldkirch. The hosts got off a great start with Dylan Stanley litting the lamp on power play after onl four minutes. It was the only goal of an even-balanced first period. After the restart the visitors were rewarded for their effort when Linus Lundström tied it at one at the hlafway point of the game. Felkdirch pushed hard but could not score until the second intermission. Early in the third Benjamin Kostner took the lead for Gherdeina but joy was short-lived as Stanley scored the equalizer just 40 seconds later. The hosts pressed for the decider and made it in overtime when Kristof Reinthaler found the back of the net for two important points.
EC Bregenzerwald - HC Neumarkt Riwega 4:2 (2:2, 1:0, 1:0)
With only 16 players Neumarkt hit the road to Vorarlberg but the decimated lineup fought hard for 60 minutes. Daniel Ban opened the scoring after only five minutes but halfway through the period David Braito tied it. After Juuso Mörsky ended his goal draught and restored Bregenzerwald's lead, it was Alex Gasser, who celebrated another equalizer for Neumarkt. After the restart the hosts struggled with failing to score on several occassions as Daniel Ban who missed a penalty shot. Late in the period Christian Haidinger scored a third for the home team. In the third it was all Bregenzerwald but the still could not score on many opportunites. Neumarkt came close to tie it in one of a few chances but ECB goalie Misa Pietilä had a great save. Finally Maximilian Hohenegg (53') doubled the lead and made the game safe - 4.2.
Rittner Buam - HK SZ Olimpija 2:3 SO (1:1, 0:1, 1:0, 0:0, 0:1)
The Renon coach Riku-Petteri Lehtonen, in addition to the usual unavailable Andreas Alber and Max Ploner, has also had to give up the injured Ivan Tauferer and Johannes Fauster, while Kevin Fink was back in the squad. The Slovenians started very strong and after 11 minutes they also went ahead. Miha Zajc served the puck to Miha Pesjak, who beat the Canadian goalkeeper Patrick Killeen for 1: 0. The joy of the guests, however, lasted only 52 seconds and Dan Tudin put the game in a draw. For the Italian-Canadian forward, it's the 15th goal of the season. In the central period the "Buam" created many dangerous actions, but the second goal was for the the Slovenian formation. After 35 minutes, Slovenia's topscorer Andrej Hebar (Slovenia's player for the Olympics) scored 2: 1. The challenge remained open, Ljubljana tried to defend the result, while the Renon tried in every way the equalizer. Draw that came two minutes from the final whistle. Dan Tudin served Alex Frei, who scored the 2: 2. The overtime then closesd without goals and so this game was decided on shutouts. In the end, the extra point was for the Ljubljana that won this game for 3:2 with decisive point of Kristjan Cepon. The Ritten was in second place with four points from leader of Asiago while the Ljubljana maintained the sixth position in the standings as they took one more step towards to the playoffs.
S.G. Cortina Hafro - HC Pustertal Wölfe 0:2 (0:0; 0:2; 0:0)
Very interesting for one of the most important matches of the day. The Cortina was without Andrea Moser while in the Pustertal there were no Eric Pance and Max Oberrauch. The game opened with a dangerous raid by Patrick Rizzo then Bruneck answered with some chances, among which Patrick Bona standed out. Then minute by minute the Cortina played with more conviction but the defense of the guests behaved well and the first period ended without goals. During the first period the Wolves could no longer dispose of Danny Elliscasis who after a game clash with Zach Torquato went out on a stretcher and was then taken to hospital for check-up. During the second half the guests scored the first goal after two minutes with the deflection of Maximilian Lancsar after a shot by Bona from distance. Then the yellowteam doubling came in the middle of the match: Nate Di Casmirro's long run which then passed the puck in the front of the net where Alex De Lorenzo Meo managed to overtake Marco De Filippo. The reaction of the Cortina arrived but despite the 3 penalties on the guest account, the powerplay of the hosts didn’t produce any goal. During the third time the Cortina failed to make his game as they took four penalties. Pustertal played in an orderly manner as they keept the result of 2:0 until the end of third period. Now the Pustertal was confirmed in fifth position while Thomas Tragust earned his sixth shutout of the season. The Cortina, after this defeat, found himself in ninth position, below the playoff line.
HC Fassa Falcons - HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice 1:5 (0:2; 0:0; 1:3)
Jesenice definitely went into the attacking area of the opponents who in the first minutes resisted to the attack of the Slovenian team. Then the first penalty of the match (2 '+ 2' to Samuel Rothstein) immediately became decisive. Jesenice got the most with two goals in powerplay in just 35 seconds thanks to Erik Svetina and Aleksander Magovac in the middle of the period. The strength of the Slovenes then didn’t produce anything else in the first period. In the second period Fassa played with great intensity in defence while the "Red Steelers" were not in a hurry to find other goals as they maintained the double advantage. During the third time Jesenice closed the game in just five minutes with three goals all in powerplay: Nejc Stojan (double powerplay), Gasper Glavic and Miha Logar allowed the Jesenice to close the match in the lead of 5: 0. But before the end of the match Samuel Rothstein scored the first Falcons goal in Mark Vlahovic's net. Jesenice also created the sixth goal but after the video replay the new score was canceled. Jesenice was confirmed in third position in the standings with this victory for 5: 1 with all the goals of the guests made in powerplay’s actions.
