EC Red Bull Salzburg's Tyler Lewington has received an automatic one-game suspension for his second fight of the current win2day ICE Hockey League season. The 30-year-old defenseman will therefore miss Tuesday's away game in Innsbruck.

According to the ICE Hockey League Game Book (Part I - Disciplinary Measures | IV. Substantive Law | § 2 Disciplinary Measures and Directives | (3) Automatic Suspensions | Fighting-Automatic Supplementary Discipline (DOPS)) a player is automatically suspended if he is assessed a fighting major for the 2nd time during the ICE Hockey League regular season.

Tyler Lewington (#2) of EC Red Bull Salzburg received fighting majors in the following games:

  • 10.01.2025 #240 Olimpija Ljubljana vs. EC Red Bull Salzburg
  • 26.01.2025 #267 spusu Vienna Capitals vs. EC Red Bull Salzburg

In neither fight was it determined that the opposing player was the instigator and Tyler Lewington was deemed a willing combatant
