EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel - HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice 1:9
In the first period Jesenice ran down the Austrians with five goals for an early decision. After seven minutes Blaz Tomazevic made the breakthrough, in the next couple of minutes Aleksandar Magovac and Jaka Ankerst put the Steelers 3:0 up. Soon later Miha Logar celebrated and Zan Jezovsek rounded off the scoring in the opening period. In the middle frame the hosts became a little bit better but were not able to score. Quite contrary to Jesenice who added a sixth goal by Eric Pance. The game has long been decided but the guests still were not tired. With ten minutes to go they scored a brace with Jure Sotlar and Saso Rajsar getting on the scoresheet. After Pance celebrated his second of the night, the home fans yet again saw a goal of their team. With one minute to go Deivids Sarkanis scored the consolation goal on power play.

EC Bregenzerwald – EC-KAC 6:7 OT
Bregenzerwald goalie Thomas Stroj started against his former club between the pipes and had a lot of work early in the game. After only five minutes Klagenfurt forward Nikolaus Kraus opened the scoring with a two men advantage from close range. Halfway through the first the hosts became better but even during a power play situation Stroj had to perform a big save on Kevin Schettina. The visitors took a 1:0 lead into the first intermission and Thomas Vallant doubled the score in the middle frame with a blue liner on pp. In further consequence KAC was the dominant team, firing some shots goalwards. As a result Marco Richter put his side 3:0 up but then Christian Haidinger got ECB on the scoreboard. It was a starting signal for Bregenzerwald and two goals by Jürgen Fussenegger (pp) and Philipp Koczera made it 3:3 before the second intermission. The third period was a mere 16 seconds old when Philip Putnik turned the game around when he hit the goalie pads and the puck bounced in. After Philip Cirtek’s equalizer, veteran player Andreas Judex restored the hosts‘ lead – 5:4. But there was another turning point in a crazy game and soon minutes later Klagenfurt had the lead again thanks to goals by Kraus and Florian Kurath. With the visitors taking penalties, Dominic Haberl tied it at six and sent the game into overtime. In the extra session EC-KAC got a penalty shot and Luca Rodiga decided it to their favour.
