Italian Anton Bernard will go for goals and points for Champion HCB Südtirol Alperia in the upcoming season as well. Besides, the forward follows Alexander Egger, who retired after winning the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga title with the Foxes for the second time in April, as the new Captain of the team. Bernard is continually playing in Bozen since 2010 and has become a key-player. With the Italians, the 29-year old forward has earned the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga title for the second time after 2014 this year. Anton Bernard had 17 points (9G/8A) out of 53 games 2017/18. And watch out: His goal scored backhanded in Quarterfinal game number 2 against EC-KAC was elected by the fans on Facebook as the best goal of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga season 2017/18.

Canadian Chris DeSousa went from Champion HCB Südtirol Alperia to the Vienna Capitals. The 27-year old power-forward has been a key-player in Bozen last season, he had 45 points (25G/20A) out of 66 games.
