Vidmar – from the World Championships to Szekesfehervar
Big signing for Fehervar AV19! Luka Vidmar, who played for Team Slovenia at the IIHF World Championships 2017 in Paris, switches from Frederikshavn White Hawks (DEN) to Szekesfehervar. For the club from Denmark the 31-years old defenseman made 2016/17 35 points (5G/30A) from 60 games. Luka Vidmar went overseas already at the age of 19teen and played there even in the American Hockey League. 2014 the defenseman returned to Europe and played in Czech Republic (HK Mlada Boleslav), Norway (Stjernen) and lately at Denmark. „After receiving an offer, I talked to my agent and several people that played there. With all the information I received and speaking with my family I made the decision to join the team. In the past, I played a role of a two-way defenseman with a good first pass, who plays in all situations“, reported Luka Vidmar.
 
Dornbirner EC presented first players
Dornbirner EC presented their first players – all Austrians – for the 2017/18-season! From EC-KAC switches Thomas Vallant to the west-club. The 21-years old Carinthian made 2017/18 31 games for the Red Jackets in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga and scored three Assists. Besides young goalie Thomas Stroj, defenseman Philip Siutz and the forwards Dominic Haberl, Stefan Häußle and Martin Grabher Meier stay in Vorarlberg.
 
Lammers stays a Shark, Yogan is new
HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ extended the contract with Forward John Lammers. The Canadian was 2016/17 with 58 points (22G/36A) from 56 games the second best scorer in the team. Besides Pierre Beaulieu stays Assistant- and Goalie Coach and 19-years old Rene Huber, who played lately for the young Sharks in the EBYSL, becomes third goalie. New at Tyrol is Andrew Yogan, who played last season for HCB Südtirol Alperia in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. The 25 years old US-Forward convinced with 13 points from 23 games
 
99ers have roster complete
The Canadian Justin Buzzeo is Moser Medical Graz99ers‘ last addition for their 2017/18-roster. The 27-years old Forward played so far always overseas, latel 2,5 years in the ECHL and scored there 97 points from 146 games.
 
KAC presents first new player
Canadian Richie Regehr is EC-KAC’s first new player for 2017/18. The experienced defender was in the past two season DEC-Champion with EHC Red Bull München.
