Johannes Bischofberger made his first league appearances in Salzburg and joined Klagenfurt in the summer of 2016. So far, the winger has played in 294 competitive games for the record champions, 278 of which he played in the win2day ICE Hockey League - earning 73 goals and 97 assists. Of his numerous goals in red and white, one was particularly historic: in the fourth overtime of the second quarterfinal game of 2019, he finished off the longest game in league history away against HCB Südtirol Alperia after 120:51 minutes. With the EC-KAC, Johannes Bischofberger won two championship titles in six years, he also finished every single one of his seasons in Klagenfurt with a positive plus/minus balance.

In the past season, the winger was out from the beginning of January due to an upper-body injury. The club and the Vorarlberg-born player agreed on a continuation of the cooperation, which is contractually fixed for the time being until the end of the 2023/24 season and includes various options on the club's side.

Johannes Bischofberger: "It fills me with a lot of pride that I can wear the red and white jersey for two more years. I would like to thank the entire organisation, which gave me great support during the past season, a very difficult time for me. I am looking forward to the next two seasons with a lot of anticipation: I will give everything for the EC-KAC to repay the trust they have placed in me here in Klagenfurt with good performances."
