Rasmus Tirronen came to the Black Wings from runner-up Hydro Fehérvár AV19 before the current season. Before joining the multinational hockey league, the 191 cm tall goalkeeper spent most of his time in his home country. After his training period in the American college league NCAA and then 12 games in the American Hockey League for the Charlotte Checkers, he was exclusively on the ice in Finland's top division from 2017 to 2021. 100 games for TPS Turku and Ässät, as well as a 10-game stint with Swiss second-division club Visp, also gave Tirronen two appearances for the Finnish national team.

Rasmus Tirronen: "I am very happy to stay here. Since the first day, the organization has taken care of me perfectly. We have already celebrated many great moments on the ice, but we still have a lot to do. We are on the right track and my family and I want to continue to be a part of it and take the next steps with the organization. The feeling in the booth is great, the fans, staff and city have grown on me. It was a very easy decision."
