The 25th round of the win2day ICE Hockey League is scheduled tomorrow, Tuesday. Among others, the HCB Südtirol Alperia will face the Steinbach Black Wings Linz away from home. Should the South Tyroleans be victorious, they would celebrate eleven wins in a row for the first time since joining the league. League leader EC Red Bull Salzburg will face Hydro Fehérvár AV19. For the first time this season, the Moser Medical Graz99ers won two games in a row. The surprising 6:4 home win against Fehérvár was followed by a 4:3/OT away win in Vienna on Sunday. The 99ers are still bottom of the table with 15 points. Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey are immediately ahead of them. The Italians have 20 points and have not won either of their last two games. The team from Veneto is having a particularly difficult time away from home. Only in Vienna they won in overtime. Asiago's last away win after regular time was on December 26, 2022 in Ljubljana. Graz, by comparison, picked up ten of their 15 points at home. Asiago narrowly won the first game of the season 4:3 at home.

After Villach on Sunday, the HC TIWAG Innsbruck will face the second Carinthian team on Tuesday. The Sharks won 3:2 against the VSV, marking the second win in a row for the eighth-placed team in the ICE. The EC-KAC has been waiting for a win for two games now. On Sunday, the team in fifth place in the table lost 2:3/SO in Ljubljana and two days earlier they suffered a 1:2 home defeat against Pustertal. It was only the second home defeat in eleven home games for the KAC so far. Innsbruck have only picked up eight of possible 27 points away from home. In the past four away games, the Tyroleans conceded a defeat in regulation. This season, Innsbruck still has major problems in last year's showpiece discipline: the powerplay. While the Sharks still had the best powerplay in the league last season (26.3%), they are currently only in twelfth place (16.2%). In comparison, the EC-KAC is third (22.9%).

With 47 points, the Red Bulls currently have a three-point lead over their closest rivals Linz and Székesfehérvár. Both teams have faced each other in the playoffs in the past two seasons. The Red Bulls prevailed 4:0 in the final of the 2021/22 season. In the quarter-finals of the previous season, RBS also won with 4:0. Salzburg also celebrated a victory in the first season duel of this campaign. Fehérvár have not beaten the Red Bulls for a total of thirteen matches. Both teams are currently in similarly good form. Both RBS and AVS have won three of their last five games. Salzburg are extremely strong at home in particular. They have won ten of their eleven home games. Fehérvár have won eight of their eleven away games so far and are currently the best away team in the win2day ICE Hockey League.

The EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV has struggled in recent weeks, winning just one of their last five games, but is still only six points behind leader Salzburg in fourth place in the table. However, Villach's most recent defeats were all away from home. The Eagles have won ten of their eleven games at home so far this season. The HK SZ Olimpija, who is tenth in the table and the fifth-best away team, will travel to the Stadthallte Villach on Tuesday. Olimpija currently have a five-point lead over eleventh-placed Vienna. On Sunday, the Slovenians celebrated a narrow 3:2/SO home win against the KAC. John Hughes is close to the 1000-point mark for Villach. The Eagle´s top scorer currently has 998 points. In the first duel of the season, Villach clearly won the „Karawanken derby“ with 5:2 in Ljubljana. John Hughes scored the goal to make it 4:1.

The HCB Südtirol Alperia has incredible ten wins in a row. However, the last time the HCB lost was against the Steinbach Black Wings Linz. On October 20, the Upper Austrians won 5:2 in South Tyrol. Since then, the Foxes have won all their games, with Bolzano also celebrating ten wins in a row in 2020. However, the HCB has never won eleven games in a row. The Black Wings narrowly lost 1:2 at Fehérvár on Sunday. In the standings they are only three points behind Salzburg in second place. Bolzano are still seventh, but are only one point behind sixth-placed Pustertal. Graham Knott of the Black Wings is still the league's top scorer with 32 points (16G | 16A). Mike Halmo is the top scorer for Bolzano with 17 points. However, Dustin Gazley is in particularly good form. The US-American has scored in all of his last four games. The 35-year-old even scored a brace against Innsbruck and the Pioneers last weekend.

The 25th round will be concluded with the game between the BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg and the HC Pustertal Wölfe. It is the duel between the ninth-placed team (PIV) and the sixth-placed team (PUS). The two teams are separated by nine points. After a brief slump, Pustertal has recently returned to better form, winning 4:3 at home against Villach and 2:1 at EC-KAC. Prior to that, the South Tyroleans had suffered six defeats from seven games. The Pioneers were beaten twice away from home last weekend. At home, PIV have won three of their last four games. In the first duel of the season with Pustertal, the Wolves won 3:1 at home. It was the fourth win in HCP's fifth ICE duel against the Pioneers.
