The Moser Medical Graz99ers delivered in the first three rounds what many experts had expected in the offseason: After a disappointing last season, the Styrians hit the ground running in the first three games of the 2024/25 season. However, EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV made it anything but easy for the 99ers on Friday. After trailing 2:0, the team from Villach came back into the encounter and twice equalized the deficit. The Styrians acted more determined in a high-scoring game and eventually prevailed 6:4.

The second team with maximum points after three rounds is HCB Südtirol Alperia. In the home game on Friday against the Pioneers Vorarlberg, however, it looked for a long time as if they would lose their first point. The Vorarlberg team took the lead in both the first and second period. The Foxes only managed to equalize in the 52nd minute. Bolzano ultimately prevailed 4:2 and remain ahead of Graz in the table thanks to their better goal difference.

Olimpija Ljubljana are just one point behind the leading duo - although they are also still unbeaten. The Slovenians celebrated a 2:1 home win over Migross Supermercati Asiago on Friday, who took the lead in the first period.

Perfect league home debut for Fehérvár
Hydro Fehérvár AV19 celebrated a perfect debut in their first league home game in their brand new Albá Arena on Friday. The Hungarian representative of the win2day ICE Hockey League beat EC-KAC 4:0 in spectacular fashion. After a goalless opening period, the second period was lightning fast for the hosts. Within one minute and 15 seconds, Fehérvár scored three goals to make it 3:0. The KAC was unable to recover from this triple blow and were ultimately beaten 4:0. With this success, Fehérvár climbed to fourth place in the table, leaving the currently fifth-placed KAC behind.

Victories for Caps and Pustertal
The spusu Vienna Capitals celebrated their second win in their third game of the season. First, however, Steinbach Black Wings Linz recorded their first tangible success of the season: Henrik Neubauer broke the Upper Austrians' scoring drought, scoring Linz's first goal of the season in the 15th minute to put his team ahead. Goals from Dominique Heinrich and Jeremy Gregoire - the latter in powerplay - turned the game around for the visitors from Vienna. Despite a final offensive by Linz, the Caps were able to hold on to their lead. Despite their first lead, the Black Wings remain bottom of the table with no points.

HC Pustertal, meanwhile, picked up its first points of the season on Friday. After two defeats at the start, the South Tyroleans won the Tyrolean derby against HC TIWAG Innsbruck by a clear 4:1. After the Wolves took the lead in the opening period, Innsbruck managed to equalize in the final period while short-handed. However, Pustertal proved to be much more efficient in the end and was able to secure its first win of the season.
