In front of 1300 fans Bolzano started very aggressively and Poulsen opened the scoring after only four minutes. Halfway through the first Ravensburg tied the game and the teams went to the lockers with the score tied at one. After the restart it was again Bolzano who took the lead thanks to a power play goal by Petan. The Germans once again equalized but with two minutes to go in the middle frame Andelidis restored Bolzano's lead with a shorthanded amrker. Early in the third Anton Bernard added a fourth on power play. Despite Kolb pulling one back for Ravensburg, the foxes held the upper hand as Luca Frigo rounded off the scoring.
