HCB Südtirol Alperia celebrated a spectacular 4:3 victory over Lukko Rauma in Finland. The home side were 2:0 ahead after 30 minutes, but Bolzano fought back impressively. Misley made it 2:1 while short-handed and Gersich equalised in the powerplay shortly before the end of the period. Schneider put the visitors ahead in the final period (42'), Stenqvist later equalised to make it 3:3 (51'). The team from the win2day ICE Hockey League was able to rely on the support of goalkeeper Sam Harvey and showed nerves of steel in the decisive phase: Matt Bradley decided the game 21 seconds before the siren, the first CHL win for Bolzano since October 2021.

Salzburg also wins second game
After the CHL opening win against Tychy, EC Red Bull Salzburg followed up on Sunday. The reigning champions of the win2day ICE Hockey League defeated Bremerhaven 3:2 at home. The Red Bulls took the lead as early as the third minute: after winning the puck at their own blue line, Auer buried a 2-on-1 attack into the far corner. Shortly afterwards, Nissner increased the lead after an ideal feed from Schneider. The visitors improved in the middle period and even equalised thanks to a penalty from Jeglic and a PP goal from Urbas. The score remained 2:2 until the 49th minute, when Lucas Thaler scored on power play to give Salzburg the lead again. The Red Bulls missed a penalty shot, and Bremerhaven piled on the pressure in the final phase - but goalie Kickert could not be beaten.
