After the 1:0 win at Pustertal, the spusu Vienna Capitals continued their road trip just 24 hours later at HCB Südtirol Alperia. The home side took the lead through Adam Helewka in a first period that was evenly balanced for long stretches. Cristiano DiGiacinto added a second goal with 37 seconds to go in the first. Shortly after the restart, Vienna's Joseph Cramarossa had to leave the ice with a game-misconduct penalty and Dustin Gazley made it 3:0 in the power play. The visitors got on the scoreboard through Jeremy Gregoire in the 29th minute, but Daniel Mantenuto restored the three-goal lead early in the third period. However, the Capitals did not give up and came back with a Wallner brace - nine minutes before the end, the score was only 4:3. However, Gazley made the difference with a spectacular finish in a 2-on-0 situation. Bolzano thus also won the second season meeting and moved back to the top of the table.
