Bolzano, Bratislava and Sabres celebrate on Saturday

In the European Women's Hockey League, leaders EVB Eagles South Tyrol celebrated their eighth win in nine games on Saturday. The South Tyroleans beat MAC Budapest thanks to a hat-trick from Kristin Della Rovere. While HK PSRZ Bratislava clearly prevailed in Graz, the Sabres St. Pölten won at home against Tauron Metropolia Silesia - Hannah Tait scored four goals.

In the European Women's Hockey League, leaders EVB Eagles South Tyrol celebrated their eighth win in nine games on Saturday. The South Tyroleans beat MAC Budapest thanks to a hat-trick from Kristin Della Rovere. While HK PSRZ Bratislava clearly prevailed in Graz, the Sabres St. Pölten won at home against Tauron Metropolia SileThe EVB Eagles South Tyrol took the lead in their home game against MAC Budapest in the fourth minute through Kristin Della Rovere. The Bolzano top scorer also made it 2:0 shortly before the second period break. The Hungarians came close in the third period, but Della Rovere finally decided the game with her third goal. While the South Tyroleans celebrated their eighth win in nine games, MAC suffered their second defeat.

The only unbeaten team is still HK PSRZ Bratislava (only six games played), the Slovakians improved to second place in the table with a 7:0 win in Graz. The Styrians did not concede a goal in the first ten minutes, before Janka Hlinkova opened the scoring. After taking a 2:0 lead after 20 minutes, the visitors even pulled away to 6:0 in the middle period. Lucia Haluskova finally scored her second goal to round off the scoring.

In the first of two consecutive duels, the Sabres St. Pölten won 5:1 against Tauron Metropolia Silesia. After Antonia Matzka took the lead, the visitors equalised in the first period through Wiktoria Dziwok. Hannah Tait then put her stamp on the game, scoring four goals to secure a clear home win. With five wins from six games, the Lower Austrians are currently in fourth place.
