For the 24-year-old, the signing at the two-time ICE champion is his first in Europe. The defender played between 2017 and 2020 in the NCAA for Pen State University, before he moved for the last two seasons to the AHL. First with Ontario Reign (1G|4A), last season with Tucson Roadrunners (7G|10A). In 2017, he was drafted in the 5th round by the Los Angeles Kings. His brother Mitch, older by three years, joined HCB Südtirol Alperia just a few days ago.

Nick Lappin suffers injury
In preparation for his first season in Europe, HCB newcomer Nick Lappin suffered a serious back injury during ice training. Due to the severity of the injury, which may also result in a career end, the "Foxes" are now looking for an equivalent replacement for the center. Further, Simon Pitschieler will also not be available to the South Tyrolean in the upcoming season due to an ongoing injury.
