After the overtime success a few days ago, Bolzano celebrates again in Champions Hockey League. The team of Kai Suikkanen won against the Finnish champ IFK Helsinki with 4:1. Fehervar won the Gábor Ocskay Jr. Memorial tournament against KHL Medvescak Zagreb and Innsbruck celebrates a win at Füssen.
After the big overtime win last Friday, Bolzano faced another strong team in Champions Hockey League. Helsinki had the better chances in the beginning and O’Connor opened the scoring for the finnish champ. With a 2+2 penalty for Crescenzi the Foxes started their engines. They killed the penalty and created a couple of good chances. In the second period Bolzano started their way back. Insam scored the first goal for the home team with a strong shot. Minutes later Geiger shot from the blue line and Blunden deflected the puck into the goal. In the 37th minute it was again Blunden who created a two goals lead after a breakaway. Five minutes before the end of the game Findlay stole the puck and created the result of 4:1.

Innsbruck with solid win against Olten
The Swiss team started with some quick moves, but couldn’t create dangerous chances. Other than Innsbruck, who started with a double strike in the 11th and 12th minute. Captain Tyler Spurgeon and defender Michael Boivin were responsible for a 2:0 lead after the first 20 minutes. Also in the second period Innsbruck had full control over the game. Clemens Paulweber increased the lead, before Füssen scored they first and only goal in this game. Michael Boivin striked again and Ondrej Sedivy created the 5:1 lead after 40 minutes. In the final period Innsbruck held the lead and booked a solid win at Füssen.
Fehervar wins Gábor Ocskay Jr. memorial tournament
Fehervar AV19 won the Gábor Ocskay Jr. Memorial Tournament after a 4-3 win against Medvescak Zagreb. Although the Croatians got in the lead already in the second minute, Fehervar had more chances in the upcoming minutes and tied the game in the middle of the period, when Kuralt put a rebound in the net. The game went of fast paced and physical but Fehervar had more chances, which resulted in another goal, Koskiranta tipped in a shot from Tikkanen. In the second period both teams fouled a lot but Fehervar was still more successful in front of the net, although Rosandic made great saves, too. First Sárpátki passed to Erdély who didn’t miss, and at the end of the period Koger scored after a nice pass from Daniel Szabo. The third period was more balanced than the first two, Medvescak played more offensive and Carruth had more to do as well. 6 minutes left in the game, Samuels-Thomas modified th result to 4-2, 4 seconds before the buzzer Manavian cut the difference to one with the third goal. Fehervar won the tournament after 2016 again. Hari was chosen the best forward, Hardy (Medvescak) the best defenseman, Carruth the best goalie and Stipsicz the best young player of the tournament.
Znojmo lost tournament finals in Poprad
The HC Orli Znojmo had to take a defeat in the tournament finals against the hosts of Poprad. In the first period no team managed to score a goal. After that the hosts took more and more the control over the game. In the 38th minute the Slovakians opened the scoring. At the beginning of the final period Samuela Mlynarkovica doubled the score. The Czechs didn’t give up and came back into the game after a goal of Allan McPherson. In the 56th minute David Bondra recreated the two goals lead for Poprad. Three minutes before the end Samuel Takac brought the result of 4:1.
