Bolzano cruises past Linz

With a 3-1 road-win at Steinbach Black Wings 1992 the HCB Südtirol Alperia remains unbeaten since the restart, as they dominated for the third time. While the Dornbirn Bulldogs took their first home-win against EC-KAC since January 2018, Dominik Grafenthin’s hat trick gave the Moser Medical Graz99ers a 5-3 win at iClinic Bratislava Capitals.

Third win for Bolzano after restart
The HCB Südtirol Alperia won their third game after the restart too, as the “foxes” cruised past Steinbach Black Wings 1992, grabbing a 3-1 after a dominating performance to climb to third place in standings. Linz, which missed Marco Brucker, had to take the fourth straight defeat. With 18 shots on goal in the first frame, it was all Bolzano, which managed to get a 2-0 lead, as Anton Bernard (8.) and Mike Halmo (12.) scored. With the same intensity Bozen entered the middle frame, where Daniel Catenacci (31.) enlarged the lead and secured the win on an early stage, as Linz was only able to get the consolidation goal.



Strong final frame gives Dornbirn longed for home-win

The Dornbirn Bulldogs managed to get the first home-win against the EC-KAC since January, 18th 2018. Eleven days after DEC’s shootout-victory at Klagenfurt, the Vorarlberg side took the second consecutive win with a 3-1 over the “Rotjacken”, which remain pointless for the first time after their restart. After the game was tied at one with one frame left, Dornbirn retook the lead on powerplay thanks Matt Mackenzie (48./PP1) and cleared it in the 55th minute, as Andrew Yogan scored his fifth goal for DEC.



Grafenthin hat-trick in Graz‘ win

Leader Moser Medical Graz99ers snatched up their ninth season-win, as the Austrian side defeated the iClinic Bratislava Capitals on the road 5-3 with Dominik Grafenthin posting his first hat-trick in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League. The Styrian side played their 1000th regular season game, winning the second time against Bratislava. After 23 seconds Anthony Cameranesi opened the scoring, the hosts turned it around with scoring two times on powerplay. Then it was all Grafenthin, who got his colors on winning-ways with three unanswered goals.
