Bolzano pushes KAC out of top-5

The HCB Südtirol Alperia celebrated a 1:0 shutout win against the EC-KAC and pushed the reigning champ out of the top-5- The HC Orli Znojmo booked a 4:2 win against the HC TWK Innsbruck and is back in the top-3. Two of the top-5 chasing-pack, the EC Panaceo VSV and the Moser Medical Graz99ers, captured the full three points.

The 37th round will be concluded with Wednesday’s game between the Dornbirn Bulldogs and the spusu Vienna Capitals.

Znojmo still undefeated against Innsbruck
The HC Orli Znojmo is still undefeated against the HC TWK Innsbruck in this season. The negative streak of Innsbruck extended to six defeats with no points. The game was only two minutes old, when Aaron Berisha opened the scoring. But Innsbruck stroke back with a goal of Michael Boivin. In the second period the same procedure again. Znojmo set the pace and recaptured, Innsbruck had the answer. But this time the hosts had the better end of the period and captured the lead for the third time this game. Tomas Svoboda brought the decision with the 4:2 in the third period. With that win Znojmo came back in the top 3.



Bolzano pushes KAC out of top-5
The HC Bolzano celebrated a 1:0 win against the EC-KAC and pushed the KAC out of the top 5. Klagenfurt, who absolved two games leass, dropped down to the sixths place. This was already the fouth shutout this season at the duel KAC vs. HCB. For the KAC captured no points for the first time in the past five games. The only goal was scored by Luca Frigo in the first period. From that time on, the KAC pressured a lot but didn’t manage to overcome Leland Irving. The Foxes climbed to the fourth place in standings. For the Foxes this was the fourth shutout in the running season.



Graz surpasses Fehérvár in standings
The Moser Medical Graz99ers celebrated a clear win in their 70th duel against Fehérvár AV 19 and surpassed the Hungarians in standings. Despite of several injuries the 99ers booked a 5:1 win. But the guests had the better start into the game. Andrew Yogan opened the scoring in the fourth minute. The 99ers took the lead and the control over the game in the second period. Oliver Setzinger scored the first goal for the 99ers this night. His team increased the lead to 3:1 in the same period. A double strike of Matt Garbowsky and Alexander Reichenberg brought the 5:1 win for Graz. The 99ers are still trailing by eight points to the top-5.



VSV books close win against Black Wings
The EC Panaceo VSV celebrated a tough fought 3:2 win against the Liwest Black Wings Linz. For the VSV it was the third success in the fourth duel with the Black Wings, who had no reason to celebrate in their 500th road game in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. The guests had the better start and captured the lead, the Eagles had the right answer with a double strike of Miika Lahti and Jerry Pollastrone. Brian Lebler tied the game again with his second goal this night. VSV newcomer Mark Cundari brought the decision with his first goal in the league. The VSV reduced the gap to the fifth placed Black Wings to six points. For Linz the advantage to the sixth place narrowed down to one single point.
