Proven forces extend in Bozen
While Greg Ireland invited to the first on-ice unit on Thursday, the sports management of HCB Südtirol Alperia was able to reach further agreements with the proven forces Anton Bernard, Daniel Frank and Luca Frigo. Captain Bernard is already looking forward to his twelfth season with the “foxes”, for which he has already played 624 games. Daniel Frank came to Bolzano seven seasons ago and has worn the jersey of the "foxes" 368 times so far. Past season he scored seven goals and dished nine assists. He also won the Karl Nedwed Trophy twice. Luca Frigo is facing his fifth season with the HCB Südtirol Alperia. Last year the 27-year-old forward also offered his best season in terms of points for the “foxes” (8G | 12A).

Bratislava wins second scrimmage
After the 2:4 defeat in the opener nine days ago at HKM Zvolen, league newcomer iClinic Bratislava Capitals traveled to HK Dukla Trenčín, another club from the Slovakian first division. The first two periods were scoreless, as the home-team opened the score in the 49th minute. Bratislava still managed to score equalizer: Jakub Suja, who came from Kosice, scored the 1:1 with 136 seconds left. The game continued goalless also in the extra session. The subsequent penalty shootout ended in favor of the ICE team, which finally won 2:1 after the shootout.
