Bolzano rounds off successful October

The HCB Südtirol Alperia is still the measure of all things in October. The Foxes celebrated a 6:4 win against the EC Panaceo VSV and is the only team which captured points in all games in October. The Moser Medival Graz99ers ended a streaky month with a full success.

Three goals in second period bring decision
After the Moser Mecial Graz99ers lost six of their past seven games the Syrians celebrated an important win. With a 3:2 win the 99ers overtook Znojmo in the standings. Znojmo captured the lead in the first period. In the second period the 99ers scored three times to lay the foundations for the success. The HC Orli Znojmo managed to narrow the gap in the final period but they couldn’t fight back to capture a point. The Moser MedicalGraz99ers captured the fifths place in standings.

Bolzano climbed standings from 11 to 4
The HCB Südtirol Alperia – the hottest team of this month – hosted the EC Panaceo VSV. The Austrians had a strong start into the game and captured the lead twice. The hosts managed to tie the game twice. In the second period the foxes were able to capture the lead first. But then Villach striked twice to recapture the lead. Bolzano managed to equalize one more team. In the final period it was Brett Flemming who scored the game winning goal for Bolzano. Anthony Bardaro created the result of 6:4 with an empty netter. With that win, Bolzano is the only team which scored in all games in October and climbed from the 11th to the 4th place within one month.
