Enrico Larcher first came up through the youth teams of his hometown club Pieve di Cadore, before joining Cortina in 2019. He made his debut for the first team in the Alps Hockey League as early as 2020. For Cortina, Larcher played 224 games, scoring three goals and providing 34 assists. In addition, he won two Italian championships and a Supercup.

Larcher is a regular fixture in Italian youth national teams. In the 2021/22 season, he competed in both the U18 World Championship (Division IB), where he was named the best player of the “Azzurrini,” and the U20 World Championship (Division IIA). There, he helped his team earn promotion and claim the gold medal — he was the highest-scoring defenseman (5 points) and recorded the best plus/minus (+7). This was followed by two more appearances at the U20 World Championship (Division IB), during which he was once again honored as his team’s best player. Now, the 21-year-old has signed a “two-way” contract with Bolzano and HC Meran, he will thereby gain his first experience in the win2day ICE Hockey League.

“Coming to Bolzano is a unique opportunity for me,” Larcher explains. “Wearing the HCB jersey and being part of a club and a city that lives and breathes hockey fills me with pride and a great sense of responsibility. The ambitions of HCB are well known — my goal is to support the team in every possible way to help achieve great success. I’ve already been in the Sparkasse Arena several times — the atmosphere with the fans is incredible. I can’t wait to get started.”
