HCB Südtirol Alperia signs Canadian forward Adam Helewka for the 2024-25 season. The 28-year-old, who won the Czech Extraliga a few months ago in the jersey of Oceláři Třinec, is no stranger to the win2day ICE Hockey League: In the 2022-23 season, he was Innsbruck's second-best scorer and the third-best in the entire league with 72 points in 49 games. In the regular season, he scored 28 goals and, together with his new teammate Giordano Finoro, took first place in this ranking.

Adam Helewka: "I decided to return to the win2day ICE Hockey League because I know that Bolzano, as always, is putting together a competitive team that can play for the title. When a player comes to a club with such a great tradition, he can only have this goal in mind. I know how much passion there is in the city and how important the fans are to the success of the organization. It will be our job to make them proud of us."

Linz extends with Stefan Gaffal

The Steinbach Black Wings have once again extended the contract of their homegrown player Stefan Gaffal. Gaffal recently had a difficult season in Linz. Back in September of last year, the 27-year-old Upper Austrian suffered a head injury that kept him out of action for four months. In the end, Gaffal played 20 games this season and now wants to get off to a fresh start with Linz in the coming season.

Stefan Gaffal: "I am simply grateful every day that I can continue to pursue my passion after last year. The private time has given me enormous strength and I am even more motivated for the new season to work my way back. It means a lot to me that I have the confidence to continue in the long term. Linz is my home and it fills me with more pride every year to be able to wear this jersey."
