Bolzano signs young forward Mizzi I Karlsson is back at Villach

The HCB Südtirol Alperia has strengthened its offensive with Joseph Mizzi. In the past two seasons the 23-year-old played for the Fassa Falcons. The Italian-Canadian dual citizen scored 73 points in 62 games for the Alps Hockey League side. In addition, the EC GRAND Immo VSV has signed Anton Karlsson. The 25-years-old Swede already played in the 2019/20 season with the "Eagles", scoring 36 points.

Joseph Mizzi is a fast and technically skilled offensive player who impresses with his abilities as a goal-scorer and provider. Now 23, he began his career in the OJHL and also appeared for 12 games in the ECHL (Utah Grizzlies) and SPHL (Evansville Thunderbolts) during the 2018/19 season - his last as a junior. In 2019, he came to Europe for the first time to join the Fassa Falcons, where he collected an outstanding 49 points (28 goals and 21 assists) in 43 games. In his second campaign with the Italians, he played 19 matches (24 points) and then went to Denmark where he finished the season in the jersey of the Odense Bulldogs (9 matches, 2 goals and 3 assists).

I am happy to be part of a club and team with a long tradition: The goal is to work hard throughout the season to improve game by game and prove myself in the championship and also the Champions Hockey League. Villach brings Karlsson back
The Swede Anton Karlsson is back at EC GRAND Immo VSV. The 25-years-old already played in the 2019/20 season with the „Eagles“ (51 games - 36 points), before he moved to AIK in the HockeyAllsvenskan. Now the forward is back and at the same time the squad planning of the Carinthians for the upcoming season is completed.

"Anton Karlsson knows the team, the city and the environment. He felt very comfortable with us and was also the top scorer in the team. Anton is a strong skater and a very goal-threatening player who will give us even more offensive punch. We are glad that we could bring Anton back to the 'Adlerhorst'", emphasizes EC GRAND Immo VSV sports director Gerald Rauchenwald.
