Referees: PIRAGIC, SIEGEL, Hribar, Riecken

With a severely thinned out lineup, the KAC picked up a point in the derby in Villach on Friday. At home, the Klagenfurt side regularly took points in recent weeks, from the last five games in the Heidi Horten Arena they earned twelve of 15 possible points. In the standings, the EC-KAC is currently in eighth position and the upcoming four home games in a row offer the opportunity to move towards the top six. First opponent is HK SZ Olimpija. The team from Ljubljana recently recorded two three-point wins in a row for the first time in the current season. The Slovenians thus increased their lead over the teams outside the pre-playoff places, but currently they still occupy tenth place in the table. After four wins in the first six away games of the season, Olimpija recently suffered four consecutive defeats away from home. In the only duel of the season so far, the Redcoats prevailed 4:2 at Hala Tivoli on September 25. Klagenfurt will again have to do without at least eight players for Sunday's clash.
