Bolzano came out hard with Viktor Schweitzer opening the scoring off a pass by captain Anton Bernard after eight minutes and soon later Angelo Miceli doubled the score. Ritten's Alex Frei pulled one back in the 19th minute while being one man down but only 32 seconds later Matt MacKenzie restored the two-goal lead. The fans saw a goalless second until Tim Campell added a fourth Bolzano goal with 30 seconds to go. In the final period the hosts scored twice by Thomas Spinell and Simon Kostner but the foxes killed the clock successfully. With a 4:3 road win the team of Kai Suikkanen also won the Alperia Cup for a third time.
