Bolzano with tournament victory | Salzburg and VSV lose against German teams

HCB Südtirol Alperia celebrated a tournament victory at the Hansjörg Brunner Memorial on Sunday, which the Foxes won for the third time in a row. EC Red Bull Salzburg, meanwhile, was defeated by Adler Mannheim. EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV suffered its second defeat in the preseason, losing to DEL2 team EC Bad Nauheim in overtime.

Red Bulls lose test against DEL team
EC Red Bull Salzburg played a test game against DEL team Adler Mannheim in Kitzbühel. As both teams are qualified for the Champions Hockey League in the upcoming season, the preseason game was played according to the new CHL rules. The guests from Germany started quickly and took a 3:0 lead already in the first period. Salzburg shortened the lead in the person of Tim Harnisch, before Mannheim took care of the preliminary decision. Harnisch scored one more time to make it 2:6, before Thomas Raffl made it 3:6. At the request of both teams, a 5-minute overtime was played after the final score of 3:6, in which the 3-on-3 game mode was tested. The eight-time German champions were also successful in this game and added another goal.

Foxes win Hansjörg Brunner Memorial Tournament
HCB Südtirol Alperia won the Hansjörg Brunner Memorial Tournament in Merano for the third time in a row. After the game against ESV Kaufbeuren had to be stopped at 3:2 for Bolzano, the Foxes celebrated an unchallenged 3:0 victory over the Alps Hockey Team HC Meran/o on Sunday. The goals were scored by Enrico Miglioranzi, Scott Valentine and Blake Parlett.

VSV loses test against DEL2 team
EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV has to admit defeat also in its second preseason game. In the home test against DEL2 team EC Bad Nauheim, the Eagles lost 3:4 after overtime. The game started well for Villach: Marco Richter provided the 1:0 lead in the first period. In the second period EC Bad Nauheim turned the match around with three goals. However, John Hughes and Elias Wallenta brought the Adler into the overtime, where Bad Nauheim made the decision after just three minutes.
