VSV wins 327th Kärntner Derby
The EC Panaceo VSV took revenge for the tight derby loss on October 18th, as the “eagles” snatched up a 3:1 win on home ice in the 327th edition and shorten the deficit to the top-5 in standings, while the EC-KAC dropped to third place, after their second loss within the last nine games. In a high emotional derby the VSV scored on its first PP, as Anton Karlsson lit the lamp after four seconds one man up (7.). After both goalies kept their sheet clean until the second break, Karlsson doubled up right at the beginning of the last and soon later Jerry Pollastrone, who was out in the last period due to an injury, crowned his comeback with the third goal for the hosts. Philipp Kreuzer made the consolidation goal for Klagenfurt.

Bolzano’s winning streak ends in Vienna

Bolzano's six-game winning streak came to an end in Vienna. Only 24 hours after their big win in Znojmo, the foxes suffered a 3:1 defeat. Despite the hosts hitting the post in the first minute, both teams missed the final push in front of the goal for some periods. The fans were almost waiting 38 minutes for the opening goal when Ty Loney broke the spell from close range. The visitors became offensively stronger in the third and Anthony Bardaro tied it in the 51st minute. After both missed good chances for another goal, Alex Wall's power play marker got Vienna on winning ways again. Taylor Vause made the game safe with an empty netter and the Caps climbed to 2nd place in the standings.

Graz comes back in the final frame
With a huge comeback in the final frame the Moser Medical Graz99ers secured a tight 3:2 road win at bottom placed Dornbirn Bulldogs, which lost the second game under head coach Kai Suikkanen too, and again moved to fifth place in standings. Although it looked pretty well for the bulldogs, after Juhani Tamminen gave the Vorarlberg side a 2:0 lead until late in the last. Then Philipp Lindner (49.) pulled one back and Sebastian Collberg und Charles Dodero – both scored their first goal in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga – turned it around.

Salzburg succeeds in shootout

After a 3:2 shootout win at EHC LIWEST Black Wings Linz the EC Red Bull Salzburg is up five points in standings ahead of the international break and took revenge for the tight loss in the first season meeting. Right at the beginning – and after eleven seconds – Raphael Herburger gave the guests an early lead, but Brian Lebler pulled equal about three minutes later. Thomas Raffl’s 13th season goal retake the lead for the table toppers, balanced by Rick Schofield shorthanded ten seconds to go in the middle period. After a non-goal last frame, in which JP Lamoureoux saved 18 shots on his goal, the game went to overtime followed by a shootout. There Chad Kolarik hit the decisive penalty for the Red Bulls.

Innsbruck destroys Fehérvár’s streak

After four consecutive wins, Hydro Fehérvár AV19 had to take a defeat at HC TWK Innsbruck “Die Haie”, which celebrated their third home win in a row and narrowed the gap in standings, trailing only one point to the Hungarian side. While Aron Reisz converted his own rebound to gave the guests a lead at the beginning of the second, a deflection of Christof Kromp and Florian Pedevilla’s first goal after about six years turned the game around. Miha Zajc decided the game later in the last for Innsbruck.
