In the lone Thursday game of the Alps Hockey League, the two teams in last place in the standings face each other. Last-place Steel Wings Linz will receive second-to-last EC-KAC II. While the Upper Austrians could only record one win from their 16 games in the "home-and-away" round (3:2 OT @KEC) and are at the bottom of the table with two points, the Carinthians are in 15th place, holding on to 13 points. EC-KAC II is currently nine points short of a spot for the pre-playoffs. In this year's season, the two teams have already met three times - there were three wins for the young "Rotjacken", with a goal difference of 17:3. Klagenfurt recently showed, with two wins from the last five games, its offensive potential, scored 4,2 goals per game. Especially the power play (23.5% | #6) worked excellently.
