The evening started promisingly for EC-KAC as they took the lead in the 7th minute with a rebound goal from Matt Fraser. However, the "Foxes" responded quickly, with Anthony Salinitri also scoring off a rebound to equalize. Late in the first period, KAC defenseman Thimo Nickl was ejected from the game after receiving a game misconduct penalty. Bozen capitalized on the ensuing five-minute power play, scoring twice to start the second period with a 3-1 lead. Despite being short-handed, Matt Fraser, after a beautiful setup by Thomas Hundertpfund, kept the KAC in the game with a shorthanded goal.

In the third period, though, the "Foxes" couldn't be stopped, netting four goals in just seven minutes, sealing the 7-2 win over Klagenfurt. This was Bozen's largest-ever victory over KAC since joining the league. The "Foxes" remain undefeated on the road and have now extended their lead over second-place Graz to five points.
