Brady Shaw joins Linz | New signings in Milano and Fehérvár

The Steinbach Black Wings Linz have announced the signing of Brady Shaw. The 33-year-old Canadian has played 185 games in the win2day ICE Hockey League for Fehérvár, Innsbruck, and FTC-Telekom, recording 193 points. While Milano Hockey Club signed forward Nick Caamano, Swedish defenseman Viktor Persson joins Hydro Fehérvár AV19.

Linz has filled its final open import spot on offense with Brady Shaw. During the 2022/23 season, the winger was named Regular Season MVP while playing for Innsbruck. Even before his peak in Tyrol, Shaw consistently produced goals and points in Fehérvár, Denmark, and the ECHL. After one and a half seasons in France, he returned to the ICE last season with league newcomer Budapest. With 19 goals and 31 assists, the 33-year-old became a key contributor.

Former NHL player signs with Milan
Milano Hockey Club has added another forward in Nick Caamano. The 27-year-old Canadian was drafted by the Dallas Stars in 2016 and has appeared in 40 NHL games. The winger also brings experience from the AHL and DEL; most recently, Caamano recorded 19 goals and 14 assists with Vålerenga Oslo.

Fehérvár signs Swedish defenseman
Hydro Fehérvár AV19 has announced the signing of Viktor Persson. The 24-year-old defenseman joins from HockeyAllsvenskan club MoDo Hockey. Prior to that, the Swede spent several years in the Liiga and SHL.

Extensions in Budapest
Defenseman Paavo Tyni and forward Topi Rönni will remain with FTC-Budapest for another season.
