In his first year in Innsbruck, Shaw celebrated major success with the Sharks. Finishing third in the regular season secured qualification for the Champions Hockey League, while Shaw himself was voted Regular Season MVP of the win2day ICE Hockey League. The following year, after successes in the CHL, things came to an abrupt end. After internal incidents, HCI and Shaw parted ways. Now the Canadian is set for his second stint in Innsbruck.

HCI General Manager Günther Hanschitz: “A player of Brady Shaw’s quality can help any team. Nevertheless, the decision to bring him back was not made lightly. It was preceded by a long process with many internal discussions as well as conversations with Brady. We know what he is capable of as a player and hope that together we can build on our past successes.”

Brady Shaw: “My wife and I are extremely excited to be part of the Sharks family again. I would like to thank Günther Hanschitz, Markus Knoll, and the entire board for their trust. I’d also like to thank Florian Pedevilla, who kept reaching out over the last two years and maintained the dialogue. A big thank you as well to Ryan Kinasewich. The conversations and the coaches’ plan made my decision an easy one.”
