Bratislava got off to a much better start in the duel with the Linz team. The Black Wings 1992, who after their overtime victory in Salzburg had to play for the second time within 24 hours, had difficulties in the initial phase. Adam Bezak opened the scoring for the hosts in powerplay in the first period. In the middle period, the capitals were even able to increase the score to 3-0 for a short time before Dragan Umicevic scored the Black Wings' first goal. In the final period, the Linz team even scored twice. However, the strength and above all the time was no longer sufficient to equalize the game.
